American Heart Association's Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED
The American Heart Association HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED course provides in-person and hands-on practice to perform high quality CPR skills on adult, children, and infant populations. Participants will also learn and practice how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and practice abdominal thrusts to eliminate choking in adults, children and infants. The first aid modules include medical emergencies: bleeding control, trauma and environmental situations with scene safety knowledge.
This class is for participants with limited or no medical training; for example, teachers, daycare providers, senior care centers, coaches, river-raft guides, or foster parents. The HeartSaver certification is valid for two years and the cost of the book is included in the price of the class. There is not a renewal class for this course.
Rocky Mountain CPR and First Aid holds this class in a hybrid format. The first aid modules are completed in a video based learning and electronic student manuals which will be released to the participants’ email, within 24 hours of registering for the class. Please bring the certificate of completion to class and provide it to our instructor. The final step is to attend the 4 hour in-person, hands-on learning and practice of CPR/AED and abdominal thrusts at our Training Center on the day that you registered to attend.
