Description

Basic Life Support is the foundation for saving lives during and following cardiac arrest. The American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR/AED Initial and Renewal courses are video-based, instructor-led courses that are designed for healthcare professionals and first responders who need to learn and practice BLS skills. Skills reviewed in this class include: one and two-rescuer CPR – for adults, children, and infants; team CPR is taught and practiced, and choking skills are taught for all populations. BLS Initial classes are offered for first-time participants or those with expired certifications.

Renewal classes are offered for participants who have taken a course within two years.

Please select a book option (untaxed if we have your certificate on file), course date, and then specify the number of students you wish to register and click the “Register” button below. You will enter the individual student information in the following steps.

 

 

  • Registration in advance of attending the class is required.  Registration can be completed on our website by clicking on the REGISTER tab or speaking with our staff.

  • The cost of the class includes an American Heart Association completion certificate which is valid for 2 years and is emailed to each participant after the class.

  • RMCPR does our best not to cancel a class; occassionally classes are rescheduled due to low attendance.

  • Class changes can be made 48 hours in advance of the class.  If class changes are made in less than 48 hours of the class, a $20 reschedule fee will be charged.

The American Heart Association highly recommends that attendees purchase the manual for attended classes, and for purchasing the instructor manuals for the disciplines that you teach.

Electronic manuals are now available and the link will be emailed to you separately after you register.  The electronic manuals will be stored on the AHA network under the bookshelf tab. 

Physical books will be provided at the class or you can pick them up from our training center in advance.
