Description

The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course is for participants who are 11-16 years old. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care safely and responsibly for children and infants. During the class, participants will learn first aid skills, CPR, and the use of an AED.

They will understand the babysitting business, childcare skills of diapering, feeding children, bottle-feeding an infant, leadership skills, and encouraging positive behavior and rewards. 

The class is for 6 hours at our local Denver Training Center. A resource manual will be provided for each participant and included in the class cost.

The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course is for participants who are 11-16 years old. The class is for 6 hours at our local Denver Training Center. A resource manual will be provided for each participant and included in the class cost. 

Please select a course date, specify the number of students you wish to register, and click the “Register” button below. You will enter the individual student information in the following steps.

 

  • Registration in advance of attending the class is required.  Registration can be completed on our website by clicking on the REGISTER tab or speaking with our staff.

  • The cost of the class includes an American Heart Association completion certificate which is valid for 2 years and is emailed to each participant after the class.

  • RMCPR does our best not to cancel a class; occassionally classes are rescheduled due to low attendance.

  • Class changes can be made 48 hours in advance of the class.  If class changes are made in less than 48 hours of the class, a $20 reschedule fee will be charged.

The American Heart Association highly recommends that attendees purchase the manual for attended classes, and for purchasing the instructor manuals for the disciplines that you teach.

Electronic manuals are now available and the link will be emailed to you separately after you register.  The electronic manuals will be stored on the AHA network under the bookshelf tab. 

Physical books will be provided at the class or you can pick them up from our training center in advance.
