The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor courses are designed for individuals who desire to teach AHA classes in the community or their workplace setting. To qualify for the instructor classes: participants must have a current provider card in the discipline they want to teach, complete an Instructor Essentials online course, and align with the Rocky Mountain CPR and First Aid Training Center. On the day of the training, participants will learn AHA and Training Center policies and practice teaching and utilizing required skills checks.
An instructor manual is required for each discipline that new instructors plan to teach, and the manual must be purchased before attending the class – this can be purchased when registering for the class.
Instructor Initial classes are scheduled for 6 hours.

The American Heart Association highly recommends that attendees purchase the manual for attended classes, and for purchasing the instructor manuals for the disciplines that you teach.
Electronic manuals are now available and the link will be emailed to you separately after you register. The electronic manuals will be stored on the AHA network under the bookshelf tab.
Physical books will be provided at the class or you can pick them up from our training center in advance.
