Description

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor courses are designed for individuals who desire to teach AHA ACLS classes at their workplace setting. The Instructor Initial class provides an understanding in how to teach high quality ACLS skills, creates an understanding of the American Heart Association curriculum and how our Training Center partners with the AHA. The class will also provide hands-on practice on how to teach ACLS Provider skills with one of our highly skilled instructors.

To qualify for the Instructor Initial classes: participants must have current BLS and ACLS Provider cards and attended the BLS Provider Instructor Initial course. Then the participant can register for the ACLS New Instructor course. There is ACLS Instructor pre-course online learning that is required before attending the ACLS Instructor Initial class. On the day of the training, participants will learn AHA and Training Center policies and practice teaching and utilizing required skills checks.

An ACLS instructor manual is required for the ACLS New Instructor class, a manual can be purchased when registering for the class. Physical books need to be picked up from our Training Center in advance of completing the online pre-coursework.

Instructor Initial classes are scheduled for 6 hours.

Please select a book option, course date, and then specify the number of students you wish to register and click the “Register” button below. You will enter the individual student information in the following steps.

 

 

    • Registration in advance of attending the class is required.  Registration can be completed on our website by clicking on the REGISTER tab or speaking with our staff.

 

    • The cost of the class includes an American Heart Association completion certificate which is valid for 2 years and is emailed to each participant after the class.

 

    • RMCPR does our best not to cancel a class; occassionally classes are rescheduled due to low attendance.

 

  • Class changes can be made 48 hours in advance of the class.  If class changes are made in less than 48 hours of the class, a $30 reschedule fee will be charged.

The American Heart Association highly recommends that attendees purchase the manual for attended classes, and for purchasing the instructor manuals for the disciplines that you teach.

Electronic manuals are now available and the link will be emailed to you separately after you register.  The electronic manuals will be stored on the AHA network under the bookshelf tab. 

Physical books will be provided at the class or you can pick them up from our training center in advance.
