The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course is for participants who are 11-16 years old. This training course is highly regarded with parents of young children and is known as a strong national training program. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care safely and responsibly for children and infants. The modules include: babysitting business skills, childcare skills of diapering, feeding children, bottle-feeding an infant, leadership skills (encouraging positive behavior and rewards). During the class, participants will learn and practice first aid skills, CPR, abdominal thrusts and the use of an AED.
The class is taught for 6 hours at our Training Center. Two resource manuals will be provided for each participant and two certification cards are included in the cost of the class.

The American Heart Association highly recommends that attendees purchase the manual for attended classes, and for purchasing the instructor manuals for the disciplines that you teach.
Electronic manuals are now available and the link will be emailed to you separately after you register. The electronic manuals will be stored on the AHA network under the bookshelf tab.
Physical books will be provided at the class or you can pick them up from our training center in advance.
