The Pediatric Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor course is designed for individuals who wish to teach American Heart Association PALS classes in their workplace. The Instructor Initial class provides an understanding of how to teach high-quality PALS skills, introduces the American Heart Association curriculum, and explains how our Training Center partners with the AHA. The class will also provide hands-on practice in teaching ACLS Provider skills with one of our highly skilled instructors.
To qualify for the PALS Instructor Initial classes, participants must have a current BLS Provider card. Participants need to attend the BLS Provider Instructor Initial course and receive a BLS Provider Instructor certification. With these two steps completed a BLS Instructor can register for the PALS New Instructor course. The PALS Instructor Essentials online learning must be completed before attending the PALS Instructor Initial class. On the day of the training, participants will learn AHA and our Training Center policies and learn how to teach PALS by utilizing modules and required skills checks.
