The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills.
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Renewal course is for participants who hold a valid PALS Provider card and need to renew. The morning session of the course is comprised of videos and didactic lecture. The morning session of the course is a review of topics including – Child and Infant BLS, The Systematic Approach, Respiratory Case Studies, Shock Case Studies, Cardiac Arrhythmia Case Studies, Algorithms (bradycardia, Tachycardia, Cardiac Arrest and Post Cardiac Arrest), IOs, and Death and Dying. The afternoon session is comprised of skills sessions including Child and Infant BLS, Airway Management, Mega Code Practice and Megacodes. The final portion of the course is the successful completion of the PALS Provider Exam. A textbook is required to successfully complete this course.
