The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course covers how to perform CPR skills on adults, children, and infants. Additional skills covered include the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and choking. First Aid topics include medical, trauma and environmental emergencies. This class is for participants with limited or no medical training and need a course completion card for their job or other requirements (teachers, day-care providers, senior care centers, coaches, river-raft guides, or foster parents, etc).
The Heartsaver certification is valid for two years and the cost of the book is included in the price of the class. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements.

The American Heart Association highly recommends that attendees purchase the manual for attended classes, and for purchasing the instructor manuals for the disciplines that you teach.
Electronic manuals are now available and the link will be emailed to you separately after you register. The electronic manuals will be stored on the AHA network under the bookshelf tab.
Physical books will be provided at the class or you can pick them up from our training center in advance.
