BLS Provider CPR AED

Basic Life Support is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. The American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR AED Initial and Renewal courses are video-based and instructor-led courses that are designed for healthcare professionals and first responders who need to know how to perform CPR skills.  You will learn both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills. Click on a course name to register for available classes.

The American Heart Association's BLS Provider CPR AED Initial course is a video-based and instructor-led courses that is designed for healthcare professionals and first responders who need to know how to perform CPR skills on adults, children and infants.  Additional skills that will be taught include ventilation with a barrier device and a bag-mask device, the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of an airway obstruction.

You can register for the BLS Provider CPR and AED Renewal course, if you have a current BLS Provider card that has not expired.  The AHA does offer a 60 day grace period to register for a BLS renewal even if your card has expired.

  • Registration in advance of attending the class is required.  Registration can be completed on our website by clicking on the REGISTER tab or speaking with our staff.
  • The cost of the class includes an American Heart Association completion certificate which is valid for 2 years and is emailed to each participant after the class.
  • RMCPR does our best not to cancel a class; occassionally classes are rescheduled due to low attendance.
  • Class changes can be made 48 hours in advance of the class.  If class changes are made in less than 48 hours of the class, a $20 reschedule fee will be charged.

 The American Heart Association highly recommends purchasing the manual for the class that you attend and for purchasing the instructor manuals for the disciplines that you teach. Electronic manuals are now available and the link will be emailed to you separately after you register.  The electronic manuals will be stored on the AHA network under the bookshelf tab.  Physicals book will be provided at the class or you can pick them up from our training center in advance of the class.
